The integration between Business Fitness’ document management platform, HowNow, and ATOmate will significantly reduce the data entry and double handling that is involved for accountants processing, preparing, and distributing ATO documentation to clients.
Upon receipt of ATO documentation by mail or via the ATO Tax Agent Portal, ATOmate will sort all correspondence, check if it matches against an estimate, and then either automatically send it to the client, or flag it for review, depending on rules set by the practice.
When integrated with HowNow, correspondence and ATO documents are automatically filed into the document management platform against the relevant client and directory, removing the need to manually file documents and providing a complete audit trail of what has been received and communicated.
With poor document management costing professional service firms upwards of $4,000 in lost productivity per employee each month, this capability will see a practice save hundreds of hours in document handling time, on top of the benefits associated with quickly and accurately processing ATO documentation.
Stan Corner, CEO of Business Automation Works who created ATOmate, highlights, practices should be considering a solution’s ability to integrate and leverage data between complementary providers when assessing their technology choices.
“ATOmate completely streamlines the ATO document management workflow, but we know there are so many other steps involved in managing client correspondence that are taking accountants and administrators away from work that matters,” Mr Corner said.
“Integrating with other forward-thinking providers like Business Fitness eliminates the friction that firms face when working across multiple platforms, and really enables us to provide an end-to-end automation solution for this key business process.”
ATOmate’s workflow saves users countless hours of manual matching and filing, and the new integration will not only push everything straight into HowNow, but also give accountants the power to simply send that correspondence on to their clients via the method of their choosing: email, mail or the secure HowNow portal.
As the HowNow platform has been developed with the ability to leverage AI and robotic process in mind, CEO Stuart Spalding said partnering with ATOmate was a natural fit.
“At Business Fitness we’ve always focused on how we can help our clients to standardise, systemise and streamline their processes so they have time to focus on what’s most important – managing the client relationship, not administering it,” Mr Spalding said.
“By integrating HowNow with ATOmate we’re streamlining that integral administrative process even further,” he added.
ATOmate takes the processing, checking and communication of ATO documents, including Notice of Assessments and more, to a new, highly automated level. It removes the time-consuming task of processing ATO documents by automatically comparing ATO documents to the estimation in your practice management system, before validating them, filing them, and sending them onto the client. If there is a discrepancy, the solution intelligently sends the Notice of Assessment straight to you, or another member of your team to investigate and action. More information is available here.
